The route(as in root/ like tree root) that we take to the wireless router(as in out, or- ra/out/er), may change, depending on whether it is before or after we have completed our newspaper route( as in ra-out), which begins very near to route66(as in root)- which used to be a famous highway from NYC to L.A.-in Arizona.
We Americans seem to have a very strange relationship with this word, or this sound, and we will even argue amongst ourselves as to which form is correct, and when. Often, we will know which form that we are supposed to use, but cannot possibly tell you why that is.
